significantly.

Pakistan to establish 5,000 joint E-working centers for
freelancers
Dr. Umar Saif, Caretaker Federal Minister of Information
Technology and Telecommunications has indicated that steps are underway to
attract international investors for the proposed venture capital fund for
startups.
The minister announced his upcoming travels to Saudi Arabia
while also noting the government plans to open up 5000 coworking centers
specifically tailored for freelancers.
Dr. Umar Saif highlighted how interest-free loans to
establish joint E-Working Centers and enable freelancers have resulted in
millions of new employment opportunities throughout the nation.
He reported a successful meeting with Caretaker Finance
Minister Dr. Shamshad Akhtar to discuss an agenda of five points related to IT
Services Sector.
Issues regarding dollar retention within the IT industry
were thoroughly explored during discussions, and will bring much-awaited
positive results soon enough.
